About Me

I’m Shannon Holmes, voice-centred theatre artist, academic and coach specializing in singing, acting, theatre-creation, and public speaking. Presently, I serve as an Assistant Professor of Theatre at the University of Regina and the Artistic Director at SoMo Theatre.

My teaching and communication coaching journey has spanned institutions like Concordia University, Dawson College, and more. For over two decades, I’ve also run my private studio, guiding countless performers to find their true voice. Many have graced stages from Broadway to London’s West End. My academic pursuits led me to a PhD from the University of Birmingham and an MFA from Goddard College, among other accolades. Diverse vocal techniques, from bel canto to Roy Hart, are all part of my repertoire.
